Worldwide, refrigerated cargo makes for almost one-fifth of all air freight. Furthermore, a considerable percentage of that is exported. freight to international markets, notably Asia, is more frequent and far more profitable than freight to US domestic markets.



One of the largest freight companies in the world is the Eurofreight International Group, which has its headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. IBISWorld estimates that in 2017, Eurofreight held a 31% market share of the world's goods forwarding market. However, it was only recently introduced to the American market, debuting there in 2008. Eurofreight asserts that it is aiming to gain ground in the United States by expanding its global network of airport agents — the network carriers whose agents occupy the freight space that freight forwarders'.
